Second year anniversary – cotton – card

The second-year wedding anniversary symbol is cotton.

Building on from the year prior, which is paper, cotton is something that is adaptable and durable.

I like how a tuft of soft, fluffy cotton can turn into strong clothing, bedsheets, and bags that protect, comfort and support us. I think a relationship is similar to cotton where it starts out something soft and fluffy that eventually turns into solid, supportive and strong presence.

With this card, I wanted to show the cotton’s transformation to mark my second wedding anniversary in March 2019.
