Cypress trees driveaway

A birthday weekend getaway for my husband took us to the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, a couple of hours south of Sydney.  Famous for its wineries and local produce, our weekend was filled with swirling wines and slicing cheese.

After a long birthday lunch at the beautiful Bendooley’s Estate, we wandered around the property while we digested our meal.

Cooling under the shade but visually soaking up the warm sun, we enjoyed watching the tall cypress trees swaying in the wind. We both said how magnificent it will be if we had such a grand entrance to our home with cypress trees welcoming guests and family from both sides of the driveway.

I painted and drew this cypress trees to encapsulate our fun weekend and our dreams.
