I was accepted into Ahiru Picture Book Workshop‘s 14th term which will start next week!
What is Ahiru Picture Book Workshop?
It’s a workshop for picture book creators to think about picture books and work from concept to making a picture book with fellow picture book creators with the guidance of Gakken picture book editor.
Picture book editor, Kimura has worked on picture books by some of the Japanese great, including Ryoji Arai and he edited the picture book that was awarded the golden apple award on 2013 Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava.
It’ll start next week with bringing the picture book we submitted for the entry to the class and receive feedback.

来週から始まる「あひる絵本ワークショップ」の第14期に参加できることになりました！
あひる絵本ワークショップとは？
絵本作家が絵本について考え、ラフから絵本制作までを、絵本編集者の指導のもと行うワークショップです。
絵本編集者の木村さんは、荒井良二さんをはじめとする日本の巨匠たちの絵本を手がけ、2013年ブラティスラヴァ世界絵本原画展 「金のりんご賞」 を受賞して絵本も編集しました。
来週からスタートするワークショップの第一回目は、応募作品として提出した絵本を紹介し、評価いただきます。
